Kinshasa Symphony

Claus Wischmann & Martin Baer

RDC • 2009 • 98'

Amidst the chaos of Kinshasa, an impassioned orchestra leader brings together 200 musicians to form a symphony orchestra. In a land where DIY is a necessity and money doesn't grow on trees, everyone rises to the challenge. Through the daily lives of the violinists, trumpeters and bassists, the Congo of today is revealed in a surrealist and accurate light. Success with a flourish.
