A celebration of traditional Tibetan folk music, Tibet in Song is above all a harrowing voyage to the heart of a half-century of cultural repression in Tibet under Chinese rule. A former Tibetan political prisoner, Ngawang Choephel, shows Tibet as it has never been seen before through a mixture of beauty, pain, brutality and resistance.
