Anthropological and multidisciplinary theatre

France

Founded in 2007 by Christophe Rulhes, Julien Cassier and Sébastien Barrier, the GdRA manufactures a narrative, performance-based and multidisciplinary theatre using writing, acting, dance, music, acrobatics, documentary film, and a human sciences standpoint.

Based on real accounts, the GdRA tells the story of Nour El Yacoubi, a young woman born in the French town of Vignaud in 1983. Her family history is used to evoke human and ordinary issues that make all of us who we are: the handing down of customs, our heritage, our narrative account of ourselves, the fragility and capacities of human beings, and the paths and detours we find ourselves taking. The GdRA has invited dancer Nedjma Benchaïb and actress Domi Giroud onto the stage to tell the sparkling story of the El Yacoubi family.
