A girl and a boy are born in Algeria on the eve of war. She is the daughter of Algerian revolutionaries, he is the son of a French gendarme. Neither of them come out of the war unscathed. How do the childhood memories of this man and woman living in the same country at the same moment depict the analyses and experience of colonial history in contrasting lights? How do their stories continue to make history? Two actors and an artist attempt to explore these issues on stage in order to create a work of remembrance. With vibrant and irreverent voices, the young protagonists process their burning desire to make sense of this unspeakable war. As they tear down the wall of silence with tenderness, life and humour, this generation takes us on a subversive journey shaped by living, astounding and even challenging accounts.
