In 1979, a terrible civil war erupted in El Salvador, resulting in 80,000 deaths and disappearances in 12 years. Many villages were abandoned at the time, and years later, survivors are recreating these places from their ashes. This modest and beautiful documentary depicts the painful yet necessary memory work that comes with reinstating the villagers.
