Like others, public health policies are becoming increasingly focused on risk management. More and more types of behaviour are being perceived as potential threats to social stability due to the impossibility – as patients with power – of fulfilling social roles. At the same time, financial interests are coming into play. In this crisis-hit period, are we not facing a trend for the overmedicating of individuals and groups? Around what interests are the health systems in Belgium and Europe organised? How does this system determine the relationships between patients and professionals?
