Frown-I-Brown is hip hop without a DJ, backed by jazz rock grooves similar to those sampled in Brooklyn or the Bronx in the Nineties. The quartet revives the spirit of old-school loops, often choosing to do so without any harmonic instruments. Still, for this event, F-I-B couldn’t resist using the psychedelic ambience of a Rhodes. After the rawness of Public Enemy, the revved-up audience will keep on grooving with a psyched-up F-I-B!
