During the military coup in 1965, the Indonesian army killed about one million supposed Communists. The executioners were never put on trial for their crimes. Quite the contrary, they are now considered to be role models for paramilitary groups. When they are asked to replay the massacres of their past for a film shoot, they are impatient to become film stars. A surrealist film.
