Julien Malland is a globe-trotting painter: Chile, Australia, China, South Africa…. He travels the world and tags walls with colourful characters, while getting local populations involved in his work. Defining himself as a modern-day explorer, Seth chooses zones of intervention where urban art can spark controversy, offering a form of resistance to ever-present boundaries and to the barriers that separate people, such as the wall in Gaza or the border between the United States and Mexico, but also in the working-class neighbourhoods of major metropolises. On the facades of the National Theatres and KVS, the public will be able to view photographic reproductions of his frescoes.
