First heard on Radio Nova and le Mouv, with their song “Et ta mère” from their first album Prison Dorée, these new artists have been raising the roof in numerous carriages of the Paris Metro for several years now. They cut their teeth on the platforms of Metro lines 2 and 6.

Rumba, calypso, Cape Verdean or Brazilian rhythms, gypsy swing, everything and anything goes for them to sing social and political poetry, as funny as it is caustic: a joyous anthem to life and freedom. After their first tour across France, from Cabaret Sauvage to the Sakifo Festival on the isle of Reunion, along with stops in Quebec and Germany, the Zoufris are preparing their second album.
