As a homage to Fela Kuti, Festival des Libertés offers a special concert with Tony Allen and Seun Kuti. An intense double concert to celebrate Afrobeat, coming from the ghettos of Lagos (Nigeria) and whose powerful rhythms and universal themes contribute to enlightening us all. With his latest album Film of Life, Tony Allen, the human metronome of Afrobeat, offers a concert just as legendary as his career, which combines influences from jazz, Afrobeat and psychedelic pop. Seun Kuti, talented son and prestigious heir of Fela Kuti, will be accompanied for this memorable evening by the legendary orchestra Egypt 80’, which helped Fela Kuti conquer the world and write the legend of Afrobeat.
