The eight actors in the Free Theatre of Belarus climb on stage and go out into the streets in order to express the suffering of people under one of the last remaining dictatorships in Europe. They denounce the abuses of power and spread rebellion. Their subversive performances are officially banned, and so they organise them in secret and resist, along with their audiences, when the police arrive. Hunted by the secret police, they seek exile in the UK in order to continue their fight against Lukashenko.

Followed by a discussion with David Murgia (Belgian actor, Magritte Hope mâle 2013).
Partnership: Théâtre National.
