A disaster has swallowed up the world. Enclosed in underwater vessels, the survivors wander in a desert of water, pulled between nostalgia for a lost world and the utopic vision of an island emerging from the sea. The Captain reflects: there is no longer any difference between reality and spectacle, and the ocean in which they float is just the product of this confusion. Searching through the archives, he comes across a bizarre scene: a meeting between Allen Funt, pioneer of Reality TV, and Stanley Milgram, author of a scientific experiment on obedience. As he tries to understand what’s going on, the image of a hybrid creature begins to haunt his dreams: their meeting will perhaps give birth to the possibility of another world.
