Boy Saloum, la révolte des Y’en a marre !

Audrey Gallet • FR • 2013 • 75’ • VO/OV st Fr/Nl

Keur Gui is a rap group that has been censored in Senegal. In 2011, its members founded the movement Y'en a marre! (Fed Up!) to protest efforts by then-President Abdoulaye Wade to modify the Constitution and remain in power. Symbols of African youth anchored in their time, they are attached to democracy and have the courage to fight for it, in sharp contrast with the West’s stereotypes about Africa.
