Un abri pour les vigies

With the participation of Edward Snowden by videoconference

Snowden, Assange, Manning… Some people believe these whistle-blowers are the watchmen for our modern democracies. Gripped by crises of conscience, they shine a light on the threats to our general welfare, with the sole aim of preserving it. They need to be protected from the harsh penalties that governments or corporations seek to mete out. What mechanisms need to be put in place to avoid abuses as well as to prevent the repression and dissuasion of whistle-blowers?

With Ben Wizner (director of the Privacy and Technology Project, lawyer for Edward Snowden), Christophe Marchand (lawyers, Jus Cogens) and Quentin Noirfalisse (journalist, co-founder of Geek Politics). Moderator: Pierre-Arnaud Perrouty (European and International Director of CAL, LDH).
