Théatre National > Salle J. Huisman
Financial and technological acceleration has imposed speed and short-term thinking as new societal norms. This fast pace leads to environmental, economic and social disasters. Some people resist the mandate of immediacy, experimenting with concrete, local alternatives, in order to “live better”. From protests against grandiose projects (airport in Notre Dame-des-Landes, TAV in Italy) to initiatives aimed at re-localising the economy (local currencies, co-operatives, etc.), these people are working to give some meaning to time, and perhaps they are already contributing to the new world of tomorrow.
