After four years of exile in Afghanistan, Irfani arrived in Paris in 2011. He found shelter under an above-ground Metro line, on a basketball court where about 40 Afghans slept. Two years went by before he received a response to his request for exile. This lovely, sensitive film shows the tension between hardship and hope that underlies the refugee process in France.
