The Indignado or 15M Movement was born in Spain following a huge demonstration on 15 May 2011. Inspired by the Arab Spring and Greek struggles, the movement spread throughout the globe as it took on different forms, but always remained pacifist and participatory with sit-in methods similar to those used by the Occupy movement in the United States. Meritxell de la Huerga recounts the early stages and efforts of a movement that stands strong against the international and European neoliberal revolt.
