(direct translation FR/NL)

Assange, Manning, Snowden (2015)). Modération: Pierre-Arnaud Perrouty (directeur international CAL, LDH)

The Wikileaks, Snowden and Manning cases made us publicly question the access of the State to secret information with more or less radicalism depending on the protagonists. Political opaqueness actually brings us face to face with the null and void reality of our democratic system. The Wikileaks case could be summarised as the complete protection of privacy of citizens and unconditional transparency of practices of those in power. How should this course of action be ethically practised from now on, in a world where physical people who also have an inalienable right to privacy equally personify places of power?
