Paradoxical question: can freedom be alienating? How does one struggle with one's own freedom? Many works have shown that declaring oneself free in the context of our individualist and liberal ideologies can provoke isolation, suffering and renunciation. How can we switch from the revolutionary idea of freedom to the belief of freedom, and how do we go from this belief to alienation?
