Théâtre National

The party Les partisans du chant is an invitation to poetic creativity, a policy shaping the guts and lucidity of troubadours. They go back to their roots and revive French chanson. Come and enjoy the texts of these artists who oppose their poetry, insolence and solicitude to our smooth, policed, frightened, avaricious and rotten world.

Major Dubreucq - Belgique

Behind the unsettling humour of Major Dubreucq hides a precise mastery of the word, refined expressions with atmospheres and dynamic arrangements artistically carried away. In a straightforward manner, he holds up mirrors, inviting those who want to seek out new words to define the new monsters of a morose era. Tremble Earthlings. A concert by the Major with his sizzling stewardesses will baffle you and do you good.

MelissMell - France

Melissmell is a name that says a lot: her first name ‘Mel is Mel’, melisma, lemon balm, lilies and Smells Like Teen Spirit. Her songs say a lot of things too: from calls to arms and drunkenness to invitations to melancholy and desertion. Melissmell is a voice that shudders and sheds great hopes and superb texts in the ruggedness of the punk spirit. A revolt questioning its domestication. A harvest to come, as long as the herd doesn't in harm’s way. Nothing is dead, everything is allowed.

Aron’C - France

Aron’C offer a half-rock half-song duet with punchy riffs and words. Spat and sworn verses are conveyed by a used and grave voice, a voice on a string, endlessly travelling. From bitter laments to happy ballads, Aron'C watches over friendship and combat, adventure and hospitality, the future and the present. On stage, the two friends play with a plethora of instruments, as they remain riveted to their base: guitar and drums. Everything might be dire, but we'll make it through the winter.
