At a time when incarceration reigns supreme and in the absence of any coherent vision from leaders on punishment, young people and citizens explore the prison problem by breaking it down and challenging its very foundations.  This empowerment brings new impetus to experts and to civil society, who for decades have been banging on about the failure of the prison system. This deconstruction exercise offers an opportunity to think about prison sentences in another way... and perhaps to do away with them completely one day?

Forum autour d’expérimentations menées par des étudiants du Workshop Prisons de la Faculté d’architecture (ULB), le comité des habitants de Haren, le projet Un monde sans prison du CRIP&D-UCL, Supermax.be (Prisons and solitary confinement in Europe) et le projet de théâtre-action “Promenades” du Dispositif Relais & Libertalia. Ces collectifs présenteront leurs réalisations autour des prisons.
