The United Kingdom, now on its way out of the European Union, has always been a major attraction for migrants. Crossing the Channel is difficult and often requires numerous attempts. While awaiting success, migrants full of hope amass under deplorable conditions in the Calais "jungle." For three months in the middle of winter, the director captures the difficulties of their situation, up close and personal.
