Man's thirst for gold seems unquenchable. Switzerland has played a central role in the very secret market for dirty gold, while native populations in Latin America, along with the environment, continue to suffer the hidden costs. To encourage this industry to change its practices, the defenders of "green gold" are developing an ethical branch of the industry, still very much in the minority but quite real.
