Drawing from Silvia Federici's accounts, stories, and essays, the members of Collectif Marthe seize upon the figure of the Witch to illustrate the body controlled, tortured, burned, searched, and confiscated across the ages. The great medieval witch hunts were not just some historical oddity – they were an orchestrated process to regain control over women's bodies. The actors exalt these free women’s modern spirit and denounce the violence of their forced invisibility, uncloaking the domination they have always suffered under the patriarchy.
