Formed during reggae’s “Golden Age”, the Congos have become icons of the genre courtesy of their polished vocal harmonies backed by heavy and powerful beats. For three decades now, the tuneful trio have been serving up profoundly spiritual slices of distinguished roots reggae.

Their 1976 album “Heart of the Congos” is regarded as one of the great masterpieces of Jamaican music and undoubtedly offers the finest example of genius producer Lee Perry’s work.

Living legends of Jamaican music, the Congos & Pura Vida will both be gracing the free stage at the Festival des Libertés…
