The steampunk-klezmer outfit Bernard Orchestar does its push-ups every morning. These athletes out of competition, the champions of Bernard's team, have run across Eastern Europe all the way to the gates of the East. And now the joggers of tomorrow are back, with a festive and athletic repertoire spiked with electronica. What these Spartans in tracksuits really like to do is to sweat on stage. They power up the synths, polish the brass, and start up the party of the future, nostalgic but visionary, muscular but sensitive.
