Everybody knows Sir Jean, of course! Who hasn't listened to Le Peuple de l'Herbe, Meï Teï Shô, Zenzile, Brain Damage, the mixtape of Conquering Sound or the Afrobeat project known as Sir Jean & NMB Afrobeat Experience? Sir Jean has always had his fingers in a variety of musical pies, changing styles and moving forward without ever resting on his laurels. For his latest project, undoubtedly his most personal, he has put together a custom-made band: the Roots Doctors. It includes Yann, bassist from the Wailing Trees, Mike, keyboard player for Broussaï, Nordine, guitarist from Sinsemilia and Maxxo, drummer and riddim maker. Unique and full of energy, the flow generated by the Senegalese MC and his super group will govern by a strictly reggae sound, just like their newly released first album. After warming up this summer at Rototom, they will be giving it their all at the Festival des Libertés...
