Over the course of three years, Adil Khan Farooq, a Muslim journalist, succeeds in winning the confidence of Ubaydullah Hussain, a notorious radical Muslim who has made it his mission to recruit for the Islamic State on Norwegian soil. While the Islamist reaps the benefits of Norway's freedoms of expression and religion, the Norwegian government begins to take an interest in the journalist's images. Will freedom of the press withstand security concerns? A look at the inner workings of the jihadist networks and the fascination they hold for thousands of young people.
