In El Salvador, Teodora Vásquez was accused of aggravated homicide for having a miscarriage, and she was not alone. In prison she became the spokesperson for Seventeen, a group of women who have been accused of the same ‘crime’. Through Teodora’s complicated journey, the film uncovers an entire system that oppresses women, while also launching a powerful call to resistance and collective struggle.
