the Enemy

Gorki Glaser-Müller

DK / QA / SE • 2021 • 90’ • VO/OV st Fr/En

Patricio Galvez has just lost his daughter and son-in-law, both killed in Syria. The radicalised couple left behind seven children, ages one to eight, interned in a prison in the middle of a war-torn country. This is the start of Patricio’s exhausting struggle to get his grandchildren back. Faced with the urgency of the situation, he has to confront a system that has become more rigid in response to radical Islam. A sensitive film that also raises the issue of children’s rights.

Following with a discussion with Patricio Galvez and Madeleine Guyot, attachée au Délégué général aux droits de l’enfant.
The film will be preceded by the proclamation of the winners of the 2021 documentary competition.
