Social security has weakened over the past 30 years. What if it were strengthened instead? The number of people who need food aid has skyrocketed. What if access to sustainable, quality, local food was the key to social progress – not only in terms of health equality, but also in terms of transforming agricultural and food production? Is it possible to build a new component to expand social security and what conditions are needed to achieve this?
