Mizrahim is a name given by Israelis to North African and Middle-Eastern Jews. A taboo in Israeli society, their exile led to a revolt in the 1970s. The movement to defend the rights of the Mizrahim was inspired by the American Black Panthers. This film meets ‘forgotten ones’ from different generations and discovers a legacy of pain while exploring the issues of exile and inheritance.
