A prolific wedding singer turned global icon in gritty and explosive electronic music, Omar Souleyman peppers his techno with uninhibited dabke rhythms as well as Kurdish and Arab influences.
With poetic and romantic lyrics, accompanied by Hasan Alo on keyboards, he will be back at the Festival des Libertés to share his visceral and thrilling music.
Given last year’s success, which deprived a large number of fans of the opportunity to attend his performance, the Festival wanted to ‘rectify’ this situation by programming Omar Souleyman in the large auditorium of the Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles.
