Attraction, astonishment, scepticism, and frank reluctance: sexual practices involving domination and power games, known as BDSM, leave no one indifferent. Yet they are rarely put into perspective in the public arena. Do they allow us to transgress the relationships of domination in society or do they reproduce them? What do these intimate practices reveal about collective power relations?
