2026. A law on facial recognition has just passed in Belgium. The Constitutional Court must decide: should this law be canceled? Should facial recognition be allowed – or not – in exceptional situations, such as a terrorist threat or serious criminal offenses? How do the right to privacy, freedom of movement, and the right to protest weigh against security concerns?
