When a person is punished for a crime, their human dignity is often called into question. Examining things through feminist movements and restorative justice ideas, it appears that the root causes of violence are not always well-addressed. How can we escape a justice system that is often unjust due to patriarchy, social and racial inequalities? What means allow us to go beyond traditional methods of punishment, exclusion, and vengeance?
