One year before the fall of Kabul, Australian journalist Jordan Byron begins his gender transition. After his first dose of testosterone, he starts documenting the lives of Taliban fighters by embedding himself with an armed group. Transition accompanies Byron as he navigates his questions about his relationship with the Taliban, with the underlying fear of being "outed."
