D’Athènes à Athènes, où va la démocratie ?

French

Demos means people, cratos means power. The power of the people. Does the right to vote correspond correctly to what we expect from a democratic process? Who makes the decisions? What is the role of the people in our western democracies? What alternatives are there? A closer look at ancient Athens and another focusing on the Greek capital today offer a few strategies for the organisation and exercising of political power which is closer to democracy in the true sense of the word.

With Etienne Chouard (professor of law and economics who has been actively considering the question of democracy since the French referendum on the EU’s draft constitutional treaty).
