To try to respond creatively and positively to the multiple threats and crises weighing upon our planet: that’s the aim of the Transition Initiatives movement. By reducing their dependence on fossil fuels, recreating the social bond and re-localising the economy, theses citizens’ groups want to build a more resilient society with greater emphasis on social justice and an increased respect for the environment.
With Josué Dusoulier (representative of the ‘Ath en transition’ project, ‘Transition Initiatives’ project manager at the Friends of the Earth-Belgium), Ezio Gandin (president of Friends of the Earth-Belgium) and Pablo Servigne (agronomist specialising in agro-ecology and permaculture, coordinator of the Barricade non-profit association).
