Does the resurgence of or return to practices such as natural contraception, home births and breast-feeding mean a real or apparent crisis of values for feminism? A return to the dos and don’ts of sacrificial maternity or a reinvention of the relation between the body and nature, these practices reveal an unresolved tension between different approaches to female emancipation.
