My Afghanistan - Living in the forbidden zone

Nagieb Khaja

Norvège ● 2012 ● 52'

VO/OV st Fr/Nl

The Taliban dominate virtually the entire rural region of Helmand in southern Afghanistan. A Danish filmmaker of Afghan origin decided to show the everyday lives of local residents by providing them with small, discreet cameras and allowing them to film their daily lives for three years. The result is an authentic immersion into the heart of one of the most inaccessible zones of war-torn Afghanistan.
