As the last colony in Africa according to the UN, Western Sahara is one of history’s great forgotten countries. Via his own travels across this country, Javier Bardem guides spectators along the twisting paths of global diplomacy, revealing the realities of an abandoned people and shining light, behind the wavering of the Moroccan government, on the responsibility of Western powers, in particular France and the United States.
