Rachel Boynton
USA • 2013 • 99’ • VO/OV st Fr/NL

Contacted by a local entrepreneur to finance the initial operating costs for an oil field off the shores of Ghana, Kosmos Energy, a small American firm, had no idea that its pursuit of the billion-dollar deal would be paved with so many obstacles, ranging from the corruption of the local elites to commandos of saboteurs. Thanks to the exceptional cooperation of all the protagonists, this investigation, filled with twists and surprises, lays bare all of the complex ins and outs of economic globalisation.
