Mehran Tamadon • FR/CH • 2014 • 105’ • VO/OV St Fr/Nl

An atheist Iranian and secular activist living in France, Mehran Tamadon had to overcome a thousand difficulties to bring the concept of his film to life: four mullahs and their families together in a house debating the issues of secularism and Islam. The house becomes a metaphor for society itself: how to arrange the furniture, what communal rules should be established to live together and take into account differing beliefs? Everyone defends their own beliefs and pushes the others to defend theirs. No subject will be out of bounds.
