Inspiring portrait of Marion Choete, an energetic South African therapist who together with her family sets up a sizeable project for AIDS orphans. It is a story of hope, sadness and much happiness despite everything. The myth that you can be cured of HIV or AIDS by having sex with a virgin is still going around. Archbishop Desmond Tutu calls the sickness the ‘new apartheid’.

Introduction of the film by Mayke Vermeren, Programming Director of the Zebracinema and cinema professor.
