Over the past fifteen years, hundreds of women have disappeared in the Northern Mexico border town of Juarez. They are later found dead, having been raped, tortured and strangled. The police’s casual approach to trying to apprehend the real culprits has left the victims’ families in despair and clamouring for justice. Other factors point to conspiracies involving the police and certain other authorities leading right up to the upper echelons of government. Meanwhile, the murders continue with apparent impunity.

The film will be followed by an audience with Monica Alcazar, artist and  scenographer, who created the Duty Free exhibition.
