Is there an alternative way to run a prison? At Puerto Princesa City Jail, in Palawan, Philippines, prisoners are not confined to their cells all day long. They are able to socialise and are encouraged to play sports, sing, dance and have fun. This is prison life unlike any other, with a focus on human dignity and re-entry into society. In a country where justice is scandalously slow and arbitrary.
Followed by a meeting with Olga Prud'homme Farges (director) and Marc Neve (lawyer, member of European Committee for Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment).
In partnership with Belgian Ligue des Droits de l'Homme.
