Formed in 1990, ZION TRAIN is a legendary Sound System, a precursor of London and British dub. For decades, ZION TRAIN has distilled dub music with electric and syncretic influences, joyously mixing genres and rhythms, with no taboos or borders. The originality of ZION TRAIN’S music comes from this intermixing of influences of all kinds, from the fusion of sounds from the past and the future, analogue and digital. At the crossroads of electro-dub and roots reggae, ZION TRAIN is a rhythmic force, energy in motion, magical, theatrical, spectacular and controlled. This cult favourite on European and world stages will be a highlight of the 2011 Festival des Libertés and will bring the evening to a close on a very high note. “Zion Train is coming on our way !”
