In 2005, thousands of paramilitaries put down their weapons in Colombia. According to the "Peace and Justice" law, they could receive shortened prison terms if they admitted their crimes. A chronicle of this huge process of transitional justice, this film retraces the heart-breaking confrontation between assassins and victims' family, in search of truth, justice and reparations. But the process comes to a screeching halt, when the political and economic interests of the paramilitary war are revealed in the harsh light of day.
